FAQs

Shipping & Delivery

Q: Where do you deliver to?

We currently only deliver to the UK. Deliveries to Europe have been suspended due to Brexit.

Q: How much do you charge for postage?

Please check our Shipping & Delivery page for up to date info on postage. We do periodically update this if the prices of postal services we use change.

Q: Who do you use to deliver your orders?

Orders in the UK are either shipped by Royal Mail or by Courier. The Courier we use is DPD.

Q: How quickly will I receive my order?

All our products are all printed on demand. This means when you place your order, it is printed to your specifications. The turnaround between placing your order and your order being shipped is currently up to 7 working days.

After your order has been shipped, delivery usually takes 1-5 days in the UK, depending on the postage option you have chosen. Please note these are estimates provided by Royal Mail and DPD, and we have no control over the actual delivery times.

Please note: Due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, our fulfilment company have implemented strict and responsible hygiene and social distancing practices for their team, so orders are currently taking up to 7 working days to print and dispatch. The postal service is experiencing delays too, mostly because of the high numbers of staff absence, so delivery may also take longer than expected. Some second class deliveries (RM 48) are taking up to two weeks. If you want your items as quickly as possible, we recommend choosing the Courier option as this is the fastest and also comes with tracking.

Please check out our Shipping & Delivery page for further details on postage prices and delivery times.

Returns

Q: Can I return my item?

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you can return your goods for whatever reason, provided they are unworn or unused and in perfect original condition.

Q: How long do I have to return my item?

You must contact us within 14 days of receiving your purchase, in accordance with Consumer Contracts Regulations. You will then have another 14 days, once you have received confirmation from us, to send the goods back. The goods don’t need to have reached us by then, you just need to have posted them. We strongly recommend you obtain proof of postage as evidence that you have posted the goods within the required time frame.

Unless the item is incorrect or faulty, you are responsible for any returns postage. All items returned to us are at your own risk, so we recommend using a recorded postal service.

Q: What if my item is faulty or I was sent an incorrect item?

If you receive an item that is faulty or incorrect, please notify us and we will assess your request and arrange a refund or replacement if applicable. All faults must be reported within 28 days, in accordance with Consumer Contracts Regulations.

Q: What if my order doesn’t arrive?

Please note that Royal Mail do not class a package as lost until a certain period of time after the expected delivery date has passed. If you have not received your order within 4 weeks, please contact us at [email protected]

Please check out our Returns Policy for full details on how to return an unwanted item, and how to report a faulty or incorrect item.

T-Shirts

Q: Where can I find a size guide for your clothing?

Check out our Size Guide page for a detailed guide. Please note these are the measurements of the garment, NOT the child or adult. The best approach would be to take a favourite T-shirt or hoodie from home and measure it for size, then compare it to the measurements of the relevant garments you wish to order.

Please note that the sizes have been set up by our supplier, but we have found the adult sizes come up a bit small so you might want to go up a size or two.  We are a small family business and all our clothes are printed on demand to reduce waste, so please use the size chart and guidance below to help you select the right size before ordering and avoid any unnecessary returns.

Q: Why do the garments I ordered smell of vinegar?

The smell is from the fixation agent used to cure the prints onto the garments. In some cases the smell goes away before the product reaches the customer, but the smell can linger until after the first wash. The fixation used is completely harmless and is not toxic, though we understand why the smell can be a little off-putting. Unfortunately, it’s unavoidable.

Q: How should I wash my garments?

To ensure you get the best wear out of your Awsm Street garments, please wash them inside out with like colours at 30 C. Do not tumble dry, and do not iron over the print!

Other Questions

Q: Which fulfilment company do you use?

We use Inkthreadable as our fulfilment company.

Q: Do you sell trousers too?

No, we don’t sell trousers. Sometimes the kids in our photos wear other colourful clothes too (we can’t take photos of them half naked!), but we try to make it clear that these are not from our product line.

Q: You say your clothes are for all colour loving kids, so why do you only show boys wearing them?

The kids in the photos are our own, and we only have boys! We are planning to add more photos with other children, but we hope you will appreciate that this is a little tricky during the current social distancing measures.

Q: What does print on demand mean?

Print on demand means when you place your order, it is printed to your specifications. Doing it this way means there is less wastage of unsold items, and it also means we can offer more designs for you to choose from. This does mean you have to wait a little longer for your order while it is prepared, but we we hope you will agree that the benefits outweigh the extra waiting time.

Q: Please can you add a personal note to my order?

Because our products are printed and shipped out directly via our fulfilment company, this means we are unfortunately unable to add any individual personal notes to any orders. Please accept our apologies.

Q: What does Awsm stand for?

Awsm is short for Awesome – because what could be more awesome than a rainbow unicorn skateboarding down the street!

Q: How can I contact you if I need assistance?

You can email us at [email protected]

If you have a question that doesn’t appear on here, please email us at [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
